Givebacks is a one-stop location for all different types of organizations and has been recommended for managing contacts, communications, fundraising, school store, and others by the National PTA. Additional detail about the things we can do with Givebacks can be found on their website dedicated to services offered to PTA organizations.
Beginning with the 2023-2024 school year, the Freedom Elementary PTA decided to consolidate all of the disparate messaging and communication we currently support under the single heading of Givebacks. Just imagine a day where you won't have to hope to catch a post on Facebook, remember to check the PTA calendar, sign up for Remind, hope your children's friend paid attention to an announcement at school. Givebacks allows all of this information to be consolidated in a single location and will perform automated reminders and updates from a single calendar. It will also be a single source for contacts for anyone who creates an account, even those who are not PTA members!

This is a sample of a filled out Join Request form.
Note the following:
- Password: If you are using an email account that has single sign-on capabilities with Givebacks (Google or Apple), you do not need to provide a password here if you wish to use single sign-on. If you do specify a password, this will bypass single sign-on and use the provided credential.
- Role: If you're a parent or guardian, leave the default setting. There will be the ability to add additional people to your hub later in the form. This can include both additional parents/guardians and students.
- Select the hubs you'd like to join: Nothing to do here. This form is pre-authenticated to the Freedom Elementary PTA hub.

At this point, you can select which hubs you would like to join. We have set up hubs at both the grade level and teacher level. It is recommended that you join at least the hub related to your child's teacher and their grade level. To do this, click the "join" link next to the desired hub. It will change to "requested" and when you submit the form at the end, your membership in that hub will be automatically granted.
If you do not select any hubs at this point, you can do so from your dashboard once you log in to Givebacks. See the section at the end of this document for the necessary steps.

Once all required fields are filled and additional people are added, click the "save" button.
When the form has finished submitting, you will see the message below. Go to the email specified in the main part of the Join Request and click the "Confirm my email" link provided

Log in to your givebacks account by navigating to freedomespta.memberhub.com and selecting "Sign In" from the upper right hand corner menu.
From your dashboard, in the "Your Tools" section in the left panel, select "Communications" > "Join Hubs"
From here, select the hubs you want to join by clicking "join". You will see a message at the bottom indicating you have successfully requested to join a hub. All hub memberships at this point are auto-approved, so you are done!
In the upper right hand corner of your dashboard, click on the profile icon and select "My Profile"
In the right-hand panel, you will see the hubs of which you are a member. Click "Edit". This will pop up a window detailing the hubs. Click "Leave hub" for the hub you wish to leave. Confirm that you want to leave the hub.

There are additional hubs you can join for each of the areas where we need your help. Please take the time to look through the list of hubs once you are logged in to Givebacks.
Each committee hub will be used to organize communication with the members so we can begin to coordinate efforts in those areas. There is a brief description of the focus of each committee listed in the hub description. If any of these seem of interest to you, please join the hub!
