    • Relay of Life: trying to incorporate into PTA
  • Anna Givens transitioning into Volunteer Coor’d. Position

  • Membership Committee Update – Laura Fenton
    • Next year people will get membership cards immediately
  • Fundraising
    • Box Tops, Campbell’s, etc. – Rhonda Hatfield and Jen Blevins
    • Box Tops: Contest ends 4/15
      • 14-15 – $2350
      • 15 – 16 – $1670
      • We use this money to free up funds in their paper program, so that they can use these funds for other items.
        • Labels for Education: About 10,000 pts
        • Looking into creating a teacher supply closet with items that are needed in the classrooms such as tissues, prize box items. We will ask for a wish list from teams that we could use to start out.

        • Looking into creating a HUG Fund that would be at the discretion of the administrator for supporting at needs students.

      • May make it a fifth grade job and move it to the morning, but it is going well

    • People are using the directory
    • Used bingo to update the website, and make the site easier to navigate. Working on the structure.

      • Reading Literacy Night coupled with 2 for 1 book sale night for scholastic

    • Science Fair – 4/21
      • Hot Spots has been moved to music and art rooms for the day

  • Father/Daughter & Mother/Son 5/13 7-9 dances.
  • Teacher Appreciation Week – May 2 – May 6
    • Looking to change things up a bit, and stay within the budget.
    • Dr Seuss theme: Hats Off to Our Teachers
      • Monday: Breakfast
      • Wednesday: Catering
      • Friday: Soup and Salad
      • Tuesday and Thursday: Snacks and drinks will be provided.
      • Add $600 to budget to avoid asking parents for cash for catering day.
    • Look into consolidating school newsletter with PTA news for next year
